Part Time Youth Director
Job Summary – Develop and nurture relationships with youth and plan, organize, supervise, and/or lead activities for Jr. and Sr. High youth
Attendance – Attend all activities that involve youth, one worship service each Sunday (vary the service time), and youth Sunday school once a month.
UMYF Programs – attend, organize, lead, plan programs on Sundays from 5-7pm
Missions – Plan local mission projects. Schedule one mission trip out of the area once a year.
Recreation – Plan one trip per year for Jr. High and one per year for Sr. High.
Volunteers – Secure and coordinate volunteers as needed for youth activities and to develop relationships with youth on a 1:5 ratio
Community – Support youth by attending events in which they participate such as sporting events and practices, pep assemblies, school lunch, and other community events. Recognize youth who participate in community events during worship to convey to the congregation their accomplishments and the church’s role in supporting them.
Publicity – Newsletter, postcards, fliers, announcements, Facebook, etc.
